Michelle Truong, D.D.S.
Dr. Michelle Truong fell immediately head over heels in love with Austin, TX when she first moved to the capital city to join a group practice after graduating from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston in 1997. Austin is a city that offers much of what she loves: great restaurants, great outdoors with hills and lakes, great live music, great diverse people! Since her family was in Houston, she opened her first practice there in 2000. Dr. Truong knew in her heart that Austin would be where she would want to practice her profession long-term; and in 2013, when she spotted the location that is now Banyan Tree Dental, with the help of her husband, they converted the once motorcycle-and-bike store to a modern day dental office catering to the families of Austin.
Dr. Truong feels fortunate to be a dentist in today's age, where advanced technology is incorporated into dentistry, making it enjoyable for her. She enjoys providing dental care for her patients and feels privileged to be able to restore a smile or relieve a toothache. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry. but her passion is in orthodontics, where she would straighten crowded teeth or close spaces to restore a balanced bite, allow easier cleaning, and achieve a desired fuller, broader smile for her patients.
Outside her profession, Dr. Truong enjoys traveling to experience different cultures, curling up with a good, stimulating book or watching a Netflix movie, dabbling in some cooking, and mostly, enjoying the hill country outdoors with her family!
